These assorted college designs were some of my favorite graphic design projects done while I went to Westwood College for my first Bachelor’s Degree.
In 2003 I switched my career path (again). I realized that fine art was not going to work out the way I had wanted, and I figured that graphic design would be a great way to make my art skills marketable. I had done various “graphic” and art projects for most of my life. It was at Westwood College that I began to fully explore design and the programs I would create a variety of designs.
In college, I worked on a bunch of college projects, and I even had some for legitimate companies as well as some freelance projects. The design projects in this article are mostly class projects — but I did like them, even as I write this retroactive blog post in 2019. These assorted college designs are not the only ones I did while working on the degree — in fact, I did some other awesome 3D designs which are currently missing.
I’ve been doing some form of art or design work since at least high school, but it wasn’t until 2003 that I began pursuing the career of graphic design and learning how to use the Adobe and Quark programs to build a career.
I don’t mind having my old projects on my website because I think it shows the growth I’ve made also showing the talent I had even early on in my career. You can also see much of my designs in my portfolio which shows both graphic design and fine art. You can also check my LinkedIn profile to see where I grew in my career.
