So, I’ve done logo design and it’s cool, but I haven’t done any logos for a widely accepted household brand name kind of thing. The biggest deal I did was the EDGE logo For HID Global. I’m very proud of it, but not everyone knows HID outside of the security industry, even though over 90% of the people with security points utilize their technology in one form or another.
What I really wanted to talk about was the gratification of seeing some things that I had some hand in. I see some of the wienerschnitzel media spots, but I have very little hands on with those. But most print objects come through our hands and when I bump into them in the “wilds” gives me a great feeling of pride and accomplishment. I bring this up because last night I saw a billboard we produced for St. Joseph’s Hospital. It is for the “Alive” campaign. But the best was the other week when I bumped into a CHOC piece I worked alot on.
and when I go shopping I see one of the California Avocado Commission pieces I worked on.
I guess what this post is about is the pride and gratification I get with this career choice. I guess I like this field more than web, since you don’t get to see people bump into your website, but you can watch people’s reaction with printed media in the open.
Well I guess that’s enough of that. Later.
