Painting | Okay, I had to start one more

So as the paint cures on the two paintings done, I decided to start one more. My favorite Art Supply shop in Irvine, Sterling (gee I keep giving the advertising away), anyways, Sterling had a GREAT deal on canvas. I got 10 20″ x 24″ stretched and gessoed for only 45.00. That’s 4.50 each!! Since I have done quite a few pirates and I had these sketches of my “Civilized Dragons” sitting around, I felt it was time to start one of them. Yes the sketch shows him really scrunched in, that’ll need to be addressed. For some reason the confining space of the canvas always seems to destroy my perspective. Which is why on the previous painting, my left leg will be hidden in shadows to hide how bad the perspective is…
