I had not realized it was the same person from the last lunch drawing, but that was fine. I liked the look in the eyes and of course the angle of the face. The wild hair also drove me to the piece. Every piece I draw in graphite would make a great digital piece, so I think I will leave that unsaid.
When it comes to the digital touches, I mostly do a quick dodge/burn to play with the contrast and bring in a few highlights and such — I think I am going to start experimenting with the brushes on that though, so stay tuned.
This Reddit Gets Drawn Fast Sketch of Ixudel by Sean Carter was drawn in graphite, photographed, and then digitally manipulated with some touch-ups and dodging/burning to create the final artwork that I felt worked best to submit back to Reddit Gets Drawn for the pleasure of the poster who submitted their photo. I love to draw and the best thing about this is that I choose which photos to draw, however, I have received many requests from people for me to do their commissioned portraits.
