Have you ever wanted your portrait, or that of a loved one, in a really cool and original style? How about in the style as you have seen done by Sean Carter? Now you can because here we offer drawn commissions by Sean Carter. It is the Product line of Commissions drawn by Sean Carter, which comes in different styles and mediums.
I even offer different styles, medium, and packages — so be sure to check out the full lines to find a style that fits what you are looking for. If you want a portrait done the first thing to think about is the style that you want — do you want a very stylized and quickly drawn version drawn in graphite? Then the Fast Sketch Style Portrait is the one you want. There is also a more detailed Graphite Drawing Style or the Ink Portrait Drawing style — both of these styles will be also digitally manipulated (you can do this for a human or even for a loved pet because I have Pen & Ink Portwraits of Pets available).
Then the next decision you need to make is final product decisions. I draw these on 7″ x 9″ 90lb Canson Mix Media “rough” surface paper and if you want the original it costs more and it will have to be sent to you, otherwise I will supply you a large hires version of the digital file (as well as the rough that was scanned in and cleaned up a bit for preparations of the final product). Then there are add-ons of different print options. You can have the file printed on a variety of papers or even on canvas.
I will say that I do use a light table for the detailed images just to set in the proportions, but from there it is all done freehand. I have drawn fully freehand in the past, but the focus on these is more the style that I have been working on and so I have taken out the time-consuming part. It was good enough for Vermeer, so why shouldn’t modern artists be allowed to make their lives a bit easier on certain projects?
