There was a resemblance to some Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) drawing from my childhood in this submission. I was so very pleased with how this piece came out. I changed out the background — as I often do. I did something very different in this piece and I think I will be exploring this more. I put the color behind the inks, but I played with a more painter touch. Instead of a base, I made a single painting layer and then on top of it all I created the major shadows and highlights.
This portrait was drawn in ink, scanned, and then digitally manipulated and colored to create the final artwork that I felt worked best to submit back to Reddit Gets Drawn for the pleasure of the poster who submitted their photo. I love to draw and the best thing about this is that I choose which photos to draw,
If you would also like to purchase a print of my artwork as a poster, canvas print, or on a phone case you can also see those in the Merchandise Shop — I have also recently begun making Skateboard Deck Designs, but those can only be currently purchased via Threadless.com.
This Reddit Gets Drawn digital drawing of FreyaVulpine by Sean Carter is also located at my Art Portfolio as the “ink piece” and the “digital piece” and was titled “Ranger”.
